Autodesk software remains in Trial mode after activation

You have used the software in Trial Mode and then purchased a license afterwards. When you launch the software, the Let’s Get Started window is displayed.
After selecting Sign In or Enter a Serial Number, the product opens and indicates that you are still on a Trial. You click Activate and then restart the program – same activation loop starts again.
