Autodesk product activation when switching from Suite to Collection

If you make a switch from a Suite to Collection and you currently have the products installed as Suite products (2017 and newer) you can recreate the licensing data file. There is no need to reinstall.

For 2016 and older products the only solution is to uninstall and reinstall the products
